Detox

What's Detox? What happens when the toxins begin to build up?

Every day we are exposed to toxic substances in the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the foods we eat. Our own bodies even make substances that, if allowed to build up, can be toxic. Environmental toxins include food additives, chemical solvents from industrial waste, pesticides and herbicides, pharmaceutical drugs, and alcohol. These toxins do not only come from large industrial chemical factories; many of these are the cleaners, pesticides and herbicides we use in and around our home. We also produce toxins internally from bacteria and yeast that inhabit our gastrointestinal tract, as well as from ‘spent’ hormones and the byproducts of certain normal metabolic processes. Our liver is responsible for pulling these many and varied toxins out of circulation, rendering them harmless. Our kidneys, intestines, lungs, and skin are then responsible for removing the neutralized toxins from our bodies.

But what happens when our organs are stressed, overloaded, inadequately nutrified and cannot process and eliminate all the toxins? What happens when the toxins begin to build up due to chronic, even low-level exposure?

Toxic overload and the inability to effectively eliminate toxic substances are implicated in many common health complaints such as fatigue, headaches, muscle and joint pain, breathing troubles, digestive complaints, weight gain, mood and attention challenges, and more. Long-term toxicity has also been associated with more serious health conditions, such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, fibromyalgia, certain types of cancers, and many autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis and chronic fatigue syndrome.

How can you detoxify your body?

Wellness Revolution Health Center offers state-of-the-art, safe and effective detoxification techniques. By supporting the body’s own innate ability to neutralize and eliminate toxins, the body can balance itself. Starting with an evaluation to identify which toxins may be causing a problem and which organs need support, a protocol is designed specific for your body’s needs. Typically, BioMeridian Analysis, or kinesiology testing determines which class of toxins are targeted. Occasionally, laboratory testing is required.

Detoxification programs may include targeted nutrients to help the body neutralize and eliminate toxins. Additional dietary modifications support organ function and reduce toxic load from the diet. You may utilize proven home therapies to enhance the detoxification process. Regarding, external toxins, specific methods help to reduce re-exposure. Often, frequency-specific laser or clinical foot-bath treatments speed the process for chronic and more acutely ill patients. You will also learn long term strategies to minimize toxic exposure and health risk and maximize healthy organ function.

Once a thorough detoxification is done, yearly, brief, home-based detoxification methods promote wellness, minimize health risks, and maintain high function.
