Why don’t more chiropractors do what we do? Our treatment methods take more time and more knowledge. We help people with very challenging, complex conditions that require advanced techniques and insight to resolve.
Like other health-care providers, we follow a standard protocol to gain information about the patient. We consult, review the case history, conduct a physical examination, and we may request laboratory analyses and/or x-rays.
Unlike medical providers, however, chiropractors also conduct a careful analysis of the patient's structure and pay particular attention to the spine and nervous system function. We also ask you about your life: What do you eat? How do you exercise? How do you deal with stress?
Unlike most chiropractors, we also analyze all major individual muscles controlled by individual spinal nerves, the fascia (connective tissue), your feet, knees, hips and upper extremities. We also analyze and treat the ‘six interferences’ to health, because your condition may not just come from the nervous system. It may be nutritionally based, due to toxicity or emotions or autoimmunity, even though it may not ‘feel’ that way.
We fix the origin of the problem. Traditionally, chiropractors believe that spinal misalignments, called subluxations are the root cause of ‘dis-ease’. It's a leak in the roof. Or a kink in the wiring of your nervous system. The severity of the subluxation can vary, and there are a number of potential contributing factors that can be physical, emotional, mental, or chemical. The subluxation can be caused by any number of incidents, from birth trauma to an auto accident to simple repetition or over-use. We take it one step farther and correct the source of the subluxation. We look at the ‘six interferences’ to see if one or more is causing a subluxation or dysfunction elsewhere in the body.
